Issue
A large customer cohort were increasingly overwhelmed by too much choice. It was seen within Google Analytics that customers were drawn in by impressive creative but found it hard to shop all items that featured within this creative.

Solution
Using various data sets and customer feedback I decided to create a shop the look feature within the new website.

Process
To create this I worked on a number of protoypes within InVision and Adobe XD and created some internal usability testing. From this I created a full working prototype in conjunction with requirements documentation for our new thrid party development agency to create the tool.

Once developed we ran a number of usabilty testing groups with RedEye. Taking the results to enhance the customer experience of the tool.
This is the inspiration step of the tool that is full page. The customer can scroll through styles and looks. This is best used with a touch device as the customer can swipe through options. This was optimised for mobile as over 50% of all traffic was mobile, especially during the research phase which this tool is catered towards.
Once the customer has decided on the look they prefer they are taken to a page where they can customise the look for the requirements. This was a key part of the research that we ran. Although customers want help with the initial design they still want the ability to customise the look towards the specific requirements.

We enabled the customer to upgrade and downgrade each fixture of their bathroom design. This dynamically updates the sticky price at the bottom of the page and once the customer is happy with all their choices they can then add them all to their basket with one button.

This has not yet been launched as we continue to make minor tweaks before a big launch in March 2018.
